Meet the team

Hi, I’m Enzo! I’m 13 years old and already making waves in the world of competitive karting. I’ve been racing for several years now, and I’m a two-time 2024 Junior League Champion. One of my biggest highlights so far was earning a spot in the Sodi World Finals in Campillos, Spain this past July — it was an incredible experience racing alongside some of the best young drivers from around the globe.

I train every week at Go Time Racing in Wallingford, CT, where I work hard to get faster, smarter, and more consistent every time I hit the track. I’m also a proud member of the Caribbean Island Racing Team — we’ve only been together for four months, but we’ve already competed in three endurance races and finished on the podium twice (2nd and 3rd place). Right now, we’re ranked 4th out of 45 Rookie Class teams in the Endurance Karting East Coast Division.

I’ve always loved racing and anything with an engine. Now, I’m helping my team raise funds so we can compete in more events across the East Coast, level up our equipment, and keep chasing big goals. You can support us by picking up some team swag or donating through our GoFundMe page — every contribution helps keep the dream alive and the wheels turning.

Thanks for supporting me and the Caribbean Island Racing Team — we’re just getting started!

AJ Lauria

Hey, I’m AJ Lauria, I’m 17 and I’ve been racing go karts for just over a year now. What started as something fun to try quickly turned into something I’m seriously passionate about. I love the competition, the adrenaline, and the challenge of always trying to improve. Go karting has become a huge part of my life, and I’ve put in a lot of time and effort to get better every time I hit the track.

My home track is Go Time in Wallingford, Connecticut, where I placed 2nd in the Upgrade League championship—a proud milestone early in my racing journey. I'm also a proud member of the Caribbean Island Racing Team, a dedicated and growing team that was formed just four months ago. In our first three official races, we’ve already made it to the podium twice, taking home 2nd and 3rd place finishes. Also, our team is ranked 4th out of 45 in the Rookie division for Endurance Karting for the East Coast Division.

Go kart racing has not only sharpened my skills on the track but has also given me confidence and focus off the track. I spend a lot of my free time training, racing, and learning more about how to improve both mentally and physically as a driver.

I'm currently raising funds to help cover the entry fee, travel, and racing expenses for an upcoming out-of-state race in Florida. This opportunity would allow me to compete at a higher level and gain critical experience against some of the best young drivers in the country.

If you’d consider sponsoring or
supporting me, it would mean the world. Every contribution helps bring this dream closer to reality.

Thank you for believing in youth racing and for helping me chase mine.

Sam August

Hi, I’m Sam August, a 16-year-old competitive go-kart driver with a deep passion for racing and a strong commitment to developing my skills on and off the track. I’ve been racing for two years at GoTime Karting in Wallingford, Connecticut, where I first discovered my love for speed, strategy, and precision behind the wheel.

I currently race with Caribbean Island Racing, a new and ambitious team that formed just four months ago. Even in a short time, we’ve already placed 2nd and 3rd in our first three races. Also, our team is ranked 4th out of 45 in the Rookie division for Endurance Karting for the East Coast Division. We’re focused on growing as a team, learning from every track, and pushing ourselves to reach new heights.

Karting isn’t just a sport for me—it’s my passion. Every race is a chance to test my limits, stay focused under pressure, and improve my technique. I love the adrenaline, the strategy, and the team spirit that drives us forward.

Our next big race is coming up on December 13, 2025, in Jacksonville, Florida. We're currently fundraising to cover travel expenses, race entry fees, and equipment costs.

Any donation or sponsorship, no matter the size, helps us get one step closer to the starting line.

Gavin Driscoll

Hi, I’m Gavin Driscoll, a 16-year-old competitive go-kart racer with three years of experience on the track. What began as a simple hobby has grown into an unshakable passion for racing and the thrill of competition. I currently race out of Supercharged in Wrentham, MA, where I’ve worked my way up to one of the most challenging divisions, competing alongside some of the best drivers in New England. This journey has allowed me to refine my skills and push myself to new heights year after year, doing what I truly love.

I’m also a proud member of Caribbean Island Racing, a four-person team formed back in May, 2024. In our first three official races, we’ve already achieved two podium finishes, securing 2nd at Limerock Racing Park in CT and 3rd place at Club Motorsport in NH. Currently ranked 4th out of 45 teams in the Rookie Division for Endurance Karting on the East Coast, we’re only getting stronger with every race.

This December, my teammates and I are gearing up for an incredible opportunity to compete against some of the nation’s top young drivers at a prestigious event in Jacksonville, Florida. To make this dream a reality, I’m raising funds to cover entry fees, travel, and racing expenses. Every donation or sponsorship, no matter the size, helps Caribbean Island Racing get closer to the starting line.

Your support fuels, not just our journey but also my dream of showcasing our talent on a larger stage. Thank you for believing in me and helping me chase my passion on the track!
